Federal Real Property Association Elects VISTA's Kimberly Price as President

Price takes the helm of FRPA from Hillary Johnson, vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle in Washington, DC, who served two terms as leader of the professional organization. The election was held December 19-28, 2007; Price has been scheduled to formally assume the duties of the President in January.

Founded in 1985 at the recommendation of the Real Property Task Force of the President's Cabinet Council on Management and Administration, FRPA is comprised of federal real property professionals - civilian and military, as well as private industry consultants - dedicated to the effective and efficient management of real property. Association members include facility managers, space planners, realty specialists, commercial brokers, attorneys, interior designers, developers, architects, and vendors of facilities products and services.

Among Price's responsibilities as FRPA President include officiating at the organization's monthly membership meetings and the annual Professional Development Conference. The membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the Herman Miller showroom and offices in Washington, DC. The Professional Development Conference will be held May 6-7, 2008 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, also in Washington, DC.

Price also coordinates and oversees the FRPA's annual member survey, which reports on trends in federal real property asset management compliance. Now entering its third year, the survey's findings are presented in the form of a White Paper at each year's FRPA Professional Development Conference.
