Controversial Website, "Farewell Mr. President" Launches President's Day, Feb. 18

Farewell Mr. President (farewellmrpresident.com) is the only website where anyone and everyone can post a video message saying their personal farewell to President Bush.
I'm looking forward to visiting with people across America so we can hear what they really have to say about the president... especially people who normally wouldn't have a chance to be heard.

(Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 15, 2008 -- "Farewell Mr. President" is billed as the hottest multi-media mashup of 2008. The website portion of the project goes live this President's Day, February 18. Www.farewellmrpresident.com is a website where anyone can upload their own farewell messages, and the project also incorporates a documentary film, merchandising and other media tie-ins.

The Beta website is active now for review: (www.farewellmrpresident.com/beta) The concept started with Greg Olliver, a film director. "I spent most of my life as a non-voter, and not caring at all about politics. Once discussions about politics and President Bush became a daily part of my surroundings, I felt obligated to create a way for anyone and everyone to at least say farewell to him." said Olliver.

The project also includes a feature length documentary that has Greg and a film crew traveling all 50 states to collect farewell messages, and ending with them personally delivering the Farewell movie to the White House before Bush leaves office in January 2009. "I'm looking forward to visiting with people across America so we can hear what they really have to say about the president... especially people who normally wouldn't have a chance to be heard." said Olliver.

Olliver teamed up with Executive Producer, Tony Harding of THEM, and Bernard Urban of Gigantic to bring the world of filmmaking and Internet together. They hit the ground running to get the website active in time for Presidents Day, and plan to start production on the film this May.

"We saw the entire project as the prefect way to leverage social media and user generated content into a living, breathing brand" said Bernard Urban, whose company designed and built the site in only
three weeks time.

Tony Harding, founder of THEM added, "We are treating the entire project like an entertainment property, basically running it like a film production."

The three partners have plans to evolve the site beyond the election and insist this project will be around for years to come.
