The National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA), the longest-tenured fire sprinkler advocacy organization in the U.S., has announced the appointments of Timothy Travers and Ronald Brown as Regional Managers, responsible for providing member services, training and support to their geographic regions.

Patterson, N.Y. (Issues Wire / PRWEB) October 25, 2008 -- The National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA), the longest-tenured fire sprinkler advocacy organization in the U.S., has announced the appointments of Timothy Travers and Ronald Brown as Regional Managers, responsible for providing member services, training and support to their geographic regions. Mr. Travers will oversee the New England Region and Mr. Brown will be responsible for the Great Lakes Region.

Mr. Travers has an extensive background in fire protection, with more than 30 years of service in the Fire Department of Whitman, Mass., where he held the position of Fire Chief prior to joining NFSA. Over the years, Mr. Travers also served on the Fire Science Technology Program Advisory Board at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, MA, the Massachusetts Task Force on Fire & Building Safety, and the Special Operations Team for the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services. In his current role with NFSA he will be responsible for the New England Region which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Mr. Brown, a former Wisconsin State Senator, has more than 34 years of emergency services experience. He was Fire Chief of the Fort Wayne Fire Department in Indiana before becoming Fire Chief of the Eau Claire Fire Department in Wisconsin. In recognition of his work as Senator, Mr. Brown received "Legislator of the Year" honors from the Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs, American Legion and Wisconsin Counties Association. He will oversee the Great Lakes Region in his new role at NFSA, which includes Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia.

"Both Tim and Ron come to NFSA with exemplary backgrounds in fire protection and prevention," said NFSA President John Viniello. "Both are uniquely qualified for the Regional Manager position and will prove to be tremendous assets to the association and to our members."
