MemoriesofaSoldier.com Launches Beta Site to Honor Military Servicemen and Servicewomen
MemoriesofaSoldier.com now allows friends and family members to honor past and present Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine and Navy members online. The site is also a place for people to connect and show support for the US Military.
(Issues Wire / PRWEB) November 11, 2008 -- MemoriesofaSoldier.com, an online resource that enables site members to honor United States Military men and women, has launched its beta site. The site allows for military members, Veterans and supporters alike to sign up for free accounts and to create "Memory" tributes in honor of their friends and family members who are either currently serving, Veterans or Fallen Soldiers.
"There are are an estimated 24 million veterans living now in the US and it is our goal to honor them all," says MemoriesofaSoldier.com founder Jonathan Engevik.
MemoriesofaSoldier.com gives members the ability to communicate with other members and create "Memory" tributes to past and present soldiers -- tributes include a biographical sketch, photos, war letters, and detailed information on the person's military service.
"My hopes are that MemoriesofAsoldier.com will be a place of inspiration, hope and support," says Engevik. "Today more than ever, our soldiers and their families need to know that their service will never be forgotten or taken for granted."
Jonathan, a humanitarian whose late grandfather and late father both served in the US Army, conceived and developed MemoriesofaSoldier.com in an effort to honor those who have dedicated their lives to making the world a safer place.
