Boston, MA (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 4, 2008 -- Jeff Beatty, Republican U.S. Senate hopeful against John Kerry in Massachusetts, is endorsing John McCain for President of the United States and urging Massachusetts Republicans and Un-enrolled voters to cast their ballot for John McCain in the primary election this coming Tuesday, February 5th.

it comes down to trust.
"John McCain is my choice for President of the United States. He is the right man to be in the White House for the times we face."

Beatty said McCain's experience with the tough issues of national security and the economy are needed. Beatty contrasted the disappointing economic performance in Massachusetts under Romney to the national average and believes McCain will do better.

Beatty also pointed to the "incredibly weak condition" in which Romney left the Massachusetts GOP and said "our Republican party cannot afford that on a national level."

Beatty condemned the kind of negative campaigning conducted by Romney supporters who labeled McCain a "collaborator" of the North Vietnamese during his years of captivity. "John McCain understands that when you serve your country in combat, it does not matter the color of your skin, your ethnic origin, the money you have made or your religious beliefs; what does matter is that you are all brothers in arms -- fighting for each other, fighting to protect each other and willing to die for each other and McCain understands that and has demonstrated that extraordinary level of commitment to his fellow Americans while his opponent has not. That is the leadership we want and we deserve in our President."

While Beatty differs with McCain on several issues, principally immigration, for Beatty "it comes down to trust." Beatty says "I trust John McCain to get America back on track and I ask the voters of Massachusetts to cast their ballots for John McCain."
