Application Displays the Current Homeland Security Alert Level on Users Websites

The Homeland Security Advisory System has five threat levels ranging from low to severe. The current national threat level is Elevated, or Yellow. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has created recommended actions for each threat level. Some of the actions to take for code Yellow are:
- Complete recommended steps at levels green and blue. Ensure disaster supply kit is stocked and ready.
- Check telephone numbers in family emergency plan and update as necessary.
- Develop alternate routes to/from work or school and practice them.
- Elevated Risk Continue to be alert for suspicious activity and report it to authorities.
