MEDIA GLOBO Calls for Global Support of The OBAMA Movement

MGLO Chairman Urges World Leaders to Endorse Barack Obama Presidency

Los Angeles, CA (Issues Wire / PRWEB) March 3, 2008 -- The MEDIA GLOBO Corporation (OTC: MGLO) (MGLO:PK) called today for global support of The OBAMA Movement, and the Company's founder urged world leaders of common interest to endorse U.S. Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States.

"This is a landmark moment in American history and the history of the world," said MEDIA GLOBO Chairman Michael Grandon. "Now is the opportunity for leaders around the world to come together to solve shared economic, social and political challenges; and help turn America toward the new international hope and unity an Obama Presidency so profoundly promises."

About Barack Obama

On February 21st, Barack Obama won the Democrats Abroad global primary, giving him then 11 straight victories in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. The Illinois senator won the primary in which democrats living in other countries voted by Internet, mail and in person; according to results released by Democrats Abroad, an organization sanctioned by the national party. With the all important primaries and caucuses in Ohio and Texas approaching March 4th, Senator Obama (D-IL) leads fellow Democratic candidate Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), both in terms of pledged delegates and public political opinion polls. See: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/ .

A new Pew Research Center poll showed Obama with a broad-based advantage over Clinton before critical March 4 contests in Texas and Ohio to select a Democratic presidential candidate for the November election. The poll found Obama leading Clinton 49 percent to 40 percent among Democratic primary voters. But 70 percent of Democratic voters now see Obama as the likely nominee, including more than half of Clinton supporters, the poll found.

For the first time in a recent New York Times / CBS News Poll, Mr. Obama moved ahead of Mrs. Clinton nationally, with 54 percent of Democratic primary voters saying they wanted to see him nominated, while 38 percent preferred Mrs. Clinton. A new USA Today / Gallup Poll released February 25th showed a similar result, 51 percent for Mr. Obama to 39 percent for Mrs. Clinton. See: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23343454/ .

Among Democrats polled, nearly 6 in 10 also say Mr. Obama has the best chance of beating Mr. McCain; double the numbers who believed Mrs. Clinton was more electable. He is also viewed by more Democratic voters as someone who can bring about "real change" in the way things are done in Washington, and is willing to compromise with Republicans "the right amount" to get things done. See: http://news.yahoo.com/election/2008/dashboard/ .

And a February 27th LA Times poll showed Mr. Obama in a statistical tie with presumptive Republican Party nominee Senator John McCain (R-AZ); with Mr. McCain holding a slight 44% to 42% lead over Mr. Obama amongst all U.S. registered voters.

Meanwhile, the OBAMA For America campaign announced last week that its grassroots movement for change is now comprised of over 1 million on-line individual supporters and contributors; referred to by the Obama camp as "owners of the campaign."
