Telework Coalition Announces Denver Regional Telework Event

Business Continuity, Environmental Concerns, and Rising Gas Prices Prompt Action

Washington, D.C. (Issues Wire / PRWEB) March 14, 2008 -- The Telework Coalition, Inc. (TelCoa) the nation's largest non profit association enabling and supporting telework and telecommuting announced it will hold the first in a series of regional symposia designed to promote understanding and adoption of distributed work by private and public organizations.

The event will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Corporate Headquarters of TeleTech Holdings, Inc. in Englewood, CO. TeleTech is a large and geographically diverse global provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions with a work at-home division.

Enabling and Supporting Virtual, Mobile and Distributed Work through Research, Education, Technology and Legislation.
Discussions and presentations will include:

  • Why Distributed Work and Why Now?
  • What's happening to encourage Telework on a state and federal level?
  • Home Office Ergonomics and Safety
  • Obtaining Environmentally Green and Carbon Neutral Benefits
  • Flex-Options -- a U.S. Department of Labor Initiative
  • An opportunity to ask questions of people running successful telework programs

The half day event will include remarks by TelCoa, TeleTech, the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), and TeleTrips. It will take place between 8:00AM and 1:00PM with registration beginning at 7:15AM. Advanced Reservations are required for security and seating purposes.

Those interested in attending who have not received an invitation from DRCOG should email their request to TelCoa at info@TelCoa.org including Name, Title, Company Name, Email address, and Phone number. Requests must be received by March 21. There is no charge to attend. Organizations interested in becoming sponsors of this event should contact TelCoa at the same address.
