RAPTOR Radar Wind Profiler Technology Selected for Initial Phase of NOAA Profiler Network Upgrade Program
NOAA awards contract to Honeywell-DeTect team for RAPTOR Radar Wind Profiler system technology.
Panama City, FL (Issues Wire / PRWEB) April 7, 2008 -- The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) has selected DeTect's RAPTOR Radar Wind Profiler (RWP) technology for the initial phase for upgrade of the US Next Generation NOAA Profiler Network, awarding a contract today to prime contractor Honeywell Technical Services, Inc. (HTSI) of Columbia, Maryland. HTSI teamed with DeTect as its technology partner for the contract. The team today was notified that DeTect's RAPTOR technology was selected for the initial design phase of the program.
