Manson Case Still Resonates 40 Years Later

Vincent Bugliosi, the prosecutor in the Charles Manson murder case, still sees the case's relevance 40 years later. Bugliosi will speak on Friday, November 6, 2009 at noon at the Lumiere Place Theatre in St. Louis. The event is a Continuing Legal Education event sponsored by MissouriLawyers.com.

Saint Louis, MO (Issues Wire / PRWEB) November 3, 2009 -- Forty years on, the Manson case still resonates. In the last year, in addition to the 40th anniversary, the press has reflected on stories about the release of Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme from prison, and the death of convicted Manson family member Susan Atkins. In addition, Roman Polanski, whose house was attacked in the brutal 1969 slayings, has come back into the news with the attempts to extradite him to America.

"Manson is still big," says Vincent Bugliosi, the lead prosecutor in the trial which put Manson and four others behind bars. After four decades, Bugliosi is still in demand as a speaker to talk about something which seems like a distant memory.

40 years on, "Manson is still big," says Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi.
Bugliosi is coming to St. Louis on Friday, November 6 for an "Inside the Actor's Studio"-style Continuing Legal Education event, sponsored by MissouriLawyers.com. Bugliosi will discuss not only the Manson case, but his battle with famed defense attorney Gerry Spence in a mock trial of Lee Harvey Oswald (for which Bugliosi spent six months preparing) and his opinions on the O.J. Simpson case.

"The Charles Manson case has it all, as far as personal interest: Sex, drugs and rock and roll," said MissouriLawyers.com President Dale Wiley. "We are glad to get Mr. Bugliosi to give his insights on what was a fascinating trial."
