Galorath Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Dan Galorath was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis, reserved for individuals who have "shown dedication in providing quality works that benefit the cost analyzing professions.
El Segundo, Calif. (Issues Wire / Vocus) June 26, 2009 -- Dan Galorath was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from SCEA (Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis). The award was presented by SCEA President Bill Haseltine on June 4th, 2009 at a ceremony in St. Louis, Missouri.
The SCEA Lifetime Achievement Award is reserved for individuals and groups who have "shown dedication in providing quality works that benefit the cost analyzing professions." Though the award was presented to Dan Galorath, he accepted the award on behalf of the entire SEER product team which has been developing and improving the product suite for over twenty years. Dan Galorath said that the award was unexpected and went on to thank the members of SCEA.
The SCEA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by Bill Haseltine, the president of the Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis and a longtime friend of Dan Galorath. During the presentation, Haseltine told several anecdotes, which he titled “Dan stories,” one of which had Dan apologizing in writing on a dollar bill as the result of a lost bet.
