(Issues Wire / Vocus) September 17, 2008 -- The Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded Intelligent Software Solutions a $49.9 million dollar increase to their Secure Information Access Analysis and Dissemination contract vehicle. Through the SIAAD vehicle, ISS provides enterprise solutions and services to a wide range of government customers within the Defense Department, Department of Homeland Security and intelligence agencies. Tasks issued on this contract span cutting edge research & development, custom system engineering and technology sustainment and maintenance.

Intelligent Software Solutions

The solutions developed under this contract have shown tremendous success. It's exciting to see our software being used by so many important organizations. This award will allow us to take these capabilities to even more of these organizations as well as develop many exciting new capabilities.
The initial award of the SIAAD vehicle two years ago provided for a projected $49 million budget to be executed over the five-year contract period. A subsequent award action raised the ceiling by another $48.5 million. This award nearly triples the initial award ceiling to nearly $150 million. According to Jay Jesse, ISS President, "The solutions developed under this contract have shown tremendous success. It's exciting to see our software being used by so many important organizations. This award will allow us to take these capabilities to even more of these organizations as well as develop many exciting new capabilities."

This brings the total of contracts ISS currently holds with the Air Force to over $225M.

The additional work will result in ISS adding staff in Colorado Springs, Virginia, New York as well as at other sites around the world.
