"This partnership brings an integrated IMAuditor and Cryoserver offering that will empower enterprise IT managers with an increased ability to meet message compliance requirements and greater capabilities to perform eDiscovery of all messages with rapid searching of IM traffic from the Cryoserver archive," said Forensic and Compliance Systems CEO Ralph Harvey.

"FCS and FaceTime are committed to provide the tools to ensure that enterprise messaging complies with regulatory, legal and e-discovery requirements in order to protect our customers against business risk," said Nick Sears as VP for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for FaceTime. "With our combined products, mutual customers gain a secure and compliant infrastructure for their enterprise messaging applications."

The use of greynet applications such as instant messaging is widespread. Greynets are real-time communications applications that are often introduced by individual end users and use highly evasive techniques to traverse the network. Nearly 100 percent of respondents to a recent survey of IT managers conducted by NewDiligence, an independent market research company on behalf of FaceTime, report at least one greynet application in use. The same study reports that 85 percent of employees say they use their work computers for "personal, non-work purposes," and among these employees, 38 percent send personal IMs or engage in chat while at work.

The combination of IMAuditor with the Cryoserver Compliance Messaging Archive Appliance provides customers a total business communication archive strategy that also safeguards against risks associated with government regulation non-compliance, the costs associated with eDiscovery, and increased exposure to security breaches over IM networks.

Combining IMAuditor with Cryoserver leverages the capabilities of Cryoserver Enterprise Email Compliance platform and the multi functional abilities of the FaceTime Instant Messaging architecture. Enterprises will now have the ability to provide compliant messaging archives for:
• Email Platforms: Microsoft Exchange, Novell Groupwise, IBM Lotus Domino, Sun One, Scalix and most Linux services
• Public IM Networks: Skype, AIM, Yahoo, MSN, GoogleTalk, ICQ, and more
• Enterprise IM Networks: OCS, LCS, Sametime, Jabber, Parlano MindAlign
• Professional Community Networks: Reuters, Bloomberg, Communicator Inc., PivotSolutions
"The growing demand for comprehensive enterprise messaging compliance enables this joint offering to provide a central storage and retrieval for all email and IM messaging. The Cryoserver permanent Litigation Hold approach ensures all data into the archive is secured for future use," said Forensic and Compliance Systems COO Paul Stubbs.

Cryoserver is a forensic email compliance solution that meets the data protection and privacy requirements of a wide range of organizations in industries including legal, finance and education, as well as government agencies. The Cryoserver email compliance archive solution is a tamper-evident, sealed appliance that is easy to implement and manage. Traditional email archiving solutions allow organizations to store data, but their lack of forensic capabilities prevents from being used in a court environment as admissible evidence. Cryoserver is the first email archiving product that successfully addresses this issue as it was built from the ground up to merge email archiving, compliance and forensic capabilities.
